The UNE SRI CleanTech Futures Series promotes connections, shares information and grows aspirations for building strong regional futures. It shines a light on knowledge and innovations around generation, storage and portability of renewable energy projects happening in the region.

Guest speakers are invited to present their latest renewable energy technologies and future impact, followed by a panel discussion. Guest speakers are challenged to answer the following questions:

  • What is the future for renewable energy?

  • Visioning the best future for rural Australians.

  • How does it look?

  • How do we get there?

Guest speakers include:

  • Rob Taber, Founding Director CEO & Chairman of the New England Innovation and Development, representing the solar panel recycling initiative

  • Dr Tanveer Hussain, Senior Lecturer of Physics in the discipline of Physics & Electronics at University of New England, on the topic of Hydrogen as a fuel source

  • Dr. Jarrah Hicks, Founding Director of the Community Power Agency.

  • Sally Hunter, Director of Geni Energy, a community-led organisation based in Narrabri Northwest NSW.

Light refreshments will be provided at NOVA as part of this free event.
