The Future of Food & Nutrition

On Friday 12th April, the UNE SMART Region Incubator hosted a breakfast event with over 50 people, including 8 high school food science students from Tamworth, gathering to hear from the inspiring Dr. Flavia Fayet-Moore.

As an International Space Nutritionist, Speaker, and Entrepreneur, Dr. Flav shared her insights on how regions like Tamworth can transform into food havens of the future.

The event was a deep dive into the world of food production and innovation, covering topics from branding, manufacturing to retail opportunities. It was not only an opportunity to gain knowledge but also a platform for fostering community connections and discussing the future of food in regional settings.

Every attendee left with new ideas and perspectives on making Tamworth a world renown centre of food innovation.

A special thankyou to our panellists Richard Doughtery, Balala Butcher Bo; Kat Sherrie from FPM Milling and Casey Jones, Carter Nutrition.

This event was proudly funded under the NSW Government Accelerating Regional Innovation Fund in association with Tamworth Regional Council and the UNE SRI.
