Shonelle Gleeson-Willey appointed president, International Erosion Control Association Australasia branch

Congratulations to Shonelle Gleeson-Willey on her appointment as president of the International Erosion Control Association's (IECA) Australasia branch.

The non-profit organisation provides education, information and other opportunities to those in erosion and sediment control industries across the globe, and acts to ensure developments cause minimal erosion.

“Shonelle is a young board member, and one of only a few women. Her significant industry experience and fresh perspective has been a great asset to IECA since she was elected as a board member, and then as vice-president,” said UNE SMART Region Incubator Director, Dr Lou Conway.

“We are excited to watch her step into the role of president. Her expertise and growing reputation have made her a well-respected professional. I look forward to seeing the impact she will make!”

At the New England North West 2021 Business Awards, Moss Environmental was awarded ‘Outstanding Employer of Choice’. As a founder with the UNE SRI in Tamworth, Shonelle has taken every opportunity to access the program offerings and work with the Experts in Residence like Mandy Walker who leads the Leverage Program.

As president of IECA Australasia, Shonelle is hoping to increase its focus on sustainability and agriculture, planning to utilise shared experience and knowledge to partner with other industry bodies in the regenerative agriculture space.
