Health Pre-Accelerator Intensive, Futures Series

  • Peel House 24 Fitzroy Street Tamworth, NSW, 2340 Australia (map)

If you have an idea for a business in the health space - whether that’s a new service, app or product - but don’t know how to take it from idea to viable business, the UNE SMART Region Incubator's Health Pre-Accelerator Intensive is for you.

Validate your idea, understand your target market, establish your business structure and develop a solid foundation for your business.

A pre-accelerator is a structured, education program that helps early-stage entrepreneurs explore, test and validate their idea before launching their new business, service, app or product.

Our pre-accelerator will include people who developed ideas during the RISE 2022 Innovation Challenge, but is for anyone in the community who has a business idea, or who even is simply drawn to the idea of starting their own business, to explore, test, validate and launch a new business, product or service!

It will be delivered in an intensive format - over the course of two evenings and one weekend.

You will have the benefit of working with an experienced and successful entrepreneur, and you’ll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded people from the Tamworth region who are interested in starting a business or exploring their new product idea.

When is it?

Launch night: 16th March 2023 4-8 pm - meet your mentor Edwina Sharrock, get to know your fellow entrepreneurs taking part and make a start on your Lean Canvas aka your one-page business plan.

Focus Weekend: Saturday & Sunday 25th & 26th March 9.30 am - 5 pm - this is where the magic will happen! Two days of complete focus on your business idea, guided by Edwina every step of the way along with the support of UNE SRI Regional Business Connectors, fully catered and everything you need for the weekend supplied.

Final Night - 5th April 2023 4-8 pm - where to next? Summarise where you’re at and your next steps.

The Pre-Accelerator Intensive is for anyone in the community who has a business idea, or who even is simply drawn to the idea of starting their own business, to explore, test, validate and launch a new business, product or service!

This event is proudly funded by the NSW Government through the Investing in Women Funding Program, and delivered in association with Tamworth Regional Council.
