Leverage supports founders to make impact, 2022 #futureNENW
In 2022, UNE SMART Region Incubator’s Leverage Program supported 112 businesses across the New England Northwest to grow and scale, providing jobs and investment into our region.
Founders, and others making decisions in businesses ready to take off, benefit directly from Leverage and that benefit impacts across the region.
Leverage is an intensive 12-month coaching program led by UNE SRI Expert in Residence Mandy Walker. It brings together like-minded entrepreneurs at different stages of their business journey, creating a friendly and supportive community which provides space for learning, sharing and growth.
The program educates founders using transformational principles focussed on business finance (including cash flow, leverage, profit and loss, and wealth creation), along with personal development and a positive mindset to achieve life-changing, measurable results.
“Before joining the Leverage Program, I had no prior business experience and found it overwhelming and extremely isolating to manage the transition from Wall’s Honey Co. as a 12-month-old side hustle, to becoming our family’s primary income.
The Program gave me the confidence to increase our pricing, release a new product line and secure 7 new wholesale stockists. I now feel confident to review our statements and make informed financial decisions. We have an emergency fund and an increasingly predictable cash flow. Leverage introduced me to a whole new world of business management concepts and the most amazing network of like-minded people. Joining the UNE SRI Leverage program was one of my best decisions I made for my business.” Katelyn Wall, Wall’s Honey Co
The Leverage Program is proudly funded by the NSW Government under the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund, and delivered in partnership with Armidale Regional Council, Tamworth Regional Council, Moree Plains Shire Council, Narrabri Shire Council, and The Exchange Narrabri.
