Secrets (or digital tools) for successful grant writing for small business workshop
On 31st March 2025 Sam Cathcart (SJN Rural) delivered a free 2-hour workshop to help equip small rural businesses with the knowledge and tools to successfully identify, apply for, and manage government grants specifically designed for rural businesses.
During the workshop participants learnt how to: identify relevant grant programs, structure a winning grant application outlining their project goals, budget, and anticipated outcomes, develop a compelling story showcasing their business’s unique value proposition and demonstrating a strong return on investment to grant evaluators. They also learnt to understand what grant assessors are looking for and how to address these points effectively in a grant application.
This workshop was a collaboration between Rural Woman and GroEvents Group and proudly sponsored by UNE SRI at the Social Co House in Moree. We would like to acknowledge funding has been made possible due to the NSW Government Boost Business Innovation Program.
