Meet the speakers

  • Brooke Sauer owns and directs Intellect Ag, a bespoke consulting company providing advice to farmers, agronomists, AgTech start-ups, venture capitalists and technical specialists. She provides support, guidance, and expertise to farmers, consultants and industry on the use of spatial data and technology to improve the triple bottom line.

    Brooke has over 17 years of experience across Australia in research, extension, consultancy and digital technologies. Combining her knowledge of engaging with growers and leveraging her strong relationship with researchers, consultants and agronomists, Brooke has become a well-respected precision agriculture and broadly digital agriculture consultant known best for her broad understanding of spatial data and her ability to contextualise data for any audience.

    As an investor, collaborator, commercial partner, applied technology developer, advisor, consultant, occasional lecturer and well-regarded "brutally honest" speaker, Brooke has diverse experiences and draws on these to bring focus, simplicity and progress to her clients.

  • Ian is the Planning and Engagement Lead at Hiringa Energy, collaborating with Sundown Pastoral on the groundbreaking Good Earth Green Hydrogen and Ammonia ('GEGHA') Project. With a Master of Arts in Environmental Management, Ian brings a wealth of expertise.

    Hailing from a Scottish farming background, he boasts 16 years of experience in Planning, Consenting, and Social License Management across diverse infrastructure projects in Australia. Specialising in heritage, land, environment, and community, Ian has navigated water, gas, and oil pipelines and now focuses on renewable prospecting, planning, and development.

    Passionate about Australia's Energy Transition, he is dedicated to facilitating legitimate decarbonisation pathways, making projects like GEGHA integral to his mission.

  • Lachlan is the Current Graduate Agronomist at McGregor Gourlay Croppa Creek, bringing fresh perspectives to the agricultural landscape. He combines practical knowledge with academic prowess, having grown up on a family farm in Gundagai and obtained a Bachelor of Agriculture from UNE.

    McGregor Gourlay Croppa Creek offers a wide range of services specialising in chemical, fertiliser, seed, agronomy services, rural merchandise, livestock, property, and water equipment. The associated businesses of JA McGregor Livestock and Property also offers clients a full range of livestock and real estate agency services.
