After completing her undergraduate studies in Arts Law, Tess van der Rijt built a career in health policy and reform before founding Patient Connector, a healthtech startup connecting patients with specialist doctors, allowing greater choice over individual healthcare. Patient Connector was acquired by Medinet in 2019 and Tess remained CEO until late 2020.
Tess is now an advisor to startups with global early-stage venture capital firm, Antler.
