Lightweight single-use plastic bags were banned from 1 June, and from 1 November, the NSW Government is banning single-use items including:
plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery, plates, bowls and cotton buds
food ware and cups made from expanded polystyrene
rinse-off personal care products containing plastic microbeads.
Through multi-stakeholder dialogues, the roundtable led by Bronwyn Voyce (The Great Plastic Rescue) will identify challenges and opportunities for commercial and industrial plastic waste producers to develop a circular project, facilitate peer-to-peer learning and identify key actions required to advance a circular plastics project that drives economic growth, jobs and environmental quality.
This event is proudly funded by the NSW Government under the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund, and delivered in association with Tamworth Regional Council.
