SRI welcomes Agent General to the UK, Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner for Europe & Israel

The team at University of New England’s SMART Region Incubator (SRI) was honoured to welcome Stephen Cartwright OAM to NOVA, 122 Faulkner Street Armidale.

Cartwright is New South Wales’ recently appointed Agent General to the United Kingdom, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner for Europe and Israel. In this role he will be responsible for growing Trade and Investment which will support growth and jobs in NSW.

He has been undertaking a regional tour before taking up his post in London.

Accompanied by Rob Harrison Investment NSW and Peter Sniekers Department of Regional NSW, both incredible supporters of the SRI’s growing community of founders, Cartwright met with six agtech founders at NOVA: Danielle Morton from Zondii; Lu Hogan from Ag360 ; Sarah Burrows and Anita Kauffmann Taylor from Red 8 Produce; David Rubie from SmartShepherd, Sam Duncan from FarmLab and Glen Charlton from LiveAg.

 Each of these founders are working to bring solutions to market for Australia and the global supply chain.
