Grant Writing Workshop by Lauren Mackley Empowers Non-Profit and Creative Organisations in Moree

Lauren Mackley, a grant writing expert, held a workshop in Moree on 27th February, hosted by Arts North West. Social Co. House hosted nineteen participants from various organisations, including Moree Family Support, BAMM, Uniting, TAFE NSW, and Moree Tourism.

The workshop was an eye-opener for many attendees, who learned about various grants available, how to find them, and how to apply for them with Arts North West's help. Lauren also covered grant guidelines, eligibility criteria, writing applications, answering grant questions, providing evidence and supporting information, budgeting, and obtaining letters of support.

The attendees were impressed with Lauren's knowledge and the tips she provided throughout the workshop. One participant said, "Lauren's expertise and the templates she provided were invaluable. I will be implementing this in my grant writing in the future."

After the workshop, four attendees even booked individual consultations with Lauren, who was able to give further insight tailored to their personalised needs.

Lauren's expertise was instrumental in helping the attendees gain the tools and knowledge required to drive positive change through grant writing. The workshop was a huge success, and we can't wait to see the transformative projects that come out of it.

We would like to acknowledge Arts North West's ongoing commitment to empowering the local communities in which the SRI operates - their insights and generosity are always greatly appreciated.

This event was proudly funded by the Federal Government Murray–Darling Basin Economic Development Program and the NSW Government Accelerating Regional Innovation Fund in association with Moree Plains Shire Council and held at Social Co House.
